If you shoot a young deer because a neighbor will shoot it, you are that neighbor.

People like you are the reason the TPWD has to be babysit! Lighten up buttercup. Folks like you need to know when I'm not being serious. The " " under my statement shoulda told you that. Besides, there's a good chance that one buck's antlers might never get wide enough. But if they don't, they don't. So for all you AR lovers who whine about me whining, here's one (he's on the left ) that I'm sure is alive due to ARs. He dropped by one night in 2 weeks worth of pictures to get his picture taken. Hopefully he's up to your standards. Be happy.

Curly, I developed some time lapse deer aging software and am currently running your deer through the process. I should have a good photo simulation of what they will look like once they are fully mature. IT will take a little while, but should be worth it

I don't want to go into all the calculations as it's very elaborate and complicated... but if this deer is allowed to age properly, this is what you can expect in 5 to 6 years. PM me if you want a copy for your house... 3"x5" pricing starts at $475

Hell the meat may actually be pretty dang good him still being milk fed and all.

Oh don't worry Booner. If we still have doe permits by the time I see a doe, I'll shoot one. Thanks for giving me permission to shoot that buck if I see it though seeing how the TP&W gave me permission as well. I guess he isn't up to your standards though. If I see him and shoot him, I just hope it doesn't mess up your deer herd.

It's all good fella's. I think we would all like to be at the lease right now, that is all.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Man - all I have seen all stinking year are Hill Country Trophies. Little baby 8s and 1 7-point that probably needs another year before he's ready.
I was going to post that I'm envious what everyone gets to choose from. Glad I didn't!

Curly you & I should have learned by now that >13" spreads always taste much better than <13" spreads Why not ban anything over 13" for 5 years ? Would sure keep wider spreads in the gene pool longer...'course the state would lose $$$$ (fewer out of state licenses sold possibly ?)... rick

Might upset some trophy hunters though, I meant management hunters. And as far as the state losing money, antler restrictions aren't about money at all. And you're right Erathkid. I would MUCH rather be at the deer lease today no matter what kind of deer I'm seeing or not seeing!

I'm just surprised that wildgame camera is still taking pic's! I've always heard they distort the antlers on mature deer!
