My Liberty Safe will stand a 1250 Deg Fire for 30 minutes
not sure that those would hold up as well

Some theif would see that mirror and try to steal it and then notice it's not just hanging on the wall.....Bingo!, what have we got here?
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

I don't think any of these places advertise their product as being 100% burglar proof, nor are they advertising as the same as a fire resistant safe. They are advertising a method to securely keep firearms in the open, without being in the open, in areas that would not ordinarily be thought of as places to look for a gun. Because how many people have a firearm on them, or have the ability to run to the fire resistant safe, dial in the combination, grab the gun, etc. in the (albiet very, very rare) chance that you have a home invasion while you are in the kitchen eating dinner or on the couch watching TV?

I think these wall storage units are good and some of them are very well done. I just don't see the need for one for myself. I want my guns in my gun safe and the ones I keep out for home defense are hardly more than an arms reach away. That's while watching TV or eating dinner..never more than an arms reach. I don't have young kids at home, so I have that luxury. Everyone in my house, knows where they can lay hands on a gun if some a$$ hole comes in my front door. besides if I put one of those nice safes in my wall, if would make the rest of my old house look bad.

I think it's a good idea for easy access quickly. I don't think thieves are even going to think about stealing a mirror. Unless they are morons.

I have a safe mounted to the concrete and studs in my closet for my long guns, extra handguns and ammo. Have my Glock in my nightstand. Why would I want to waste anytime to get out of bed to open this contraption to shoot some dumbass that comes into my house. Pull out the drawer, draw my weapon and 1 between the eyes and two in the chest. Situation takin' care of. Wife has her Glock in her nightstand for the same purpose. She can shoot too.
