The safeties on those things are a pain in the field, but they will sure whack a hog!

The safeties on those things are a pain in the field, but they will sure whack a hog! Safety is easy..if you put the but in the bow of your arm and gives leverage to reach up and pull the safety and turn! Course we are all born with the best safety...the one on our shooting hand!

What is a safety? LOL
Any gun with a powerful cartridge will work for hogs. Even a wimpy cartridge like 223's take em down!

When i have hunted with mine, I just carried it on an empty chamber. Easier to cycle the bolt than release the safety.
more than powerful enough for hogs. I have taken deer with my 91/30 Sniper before.
