I wanted to provide a brief product review of Ozonics and Ghost Blinds and video footage -- THEY ACTUALLY WORKED... Went out to Parker County this past Saturday. Got in the field about 3:30. Snake and I hunted together behind two of the mirrored Ghost Blinds. We also used two Ozonics units. We had a variable wind out of the South gusting to about 10 mph. Wind would shift occasionally from SW, S, and SE. For this set up the bucks predictably approach from the N or the NE where they bed along a creek bed. We had numerous does approach in an arc behind us from the W and came around directly downwind from our set up. They NEVER scented us or saw us. Most were feeding on chum piles 20-25 yards directly downwind from us. Had one get as close as 10 yards. Some were a little jumpy -- they could tell that something was up but they couldnt figure out what. We had numerous young bucks approach from the N (downwind) and come within bow range including a young 8 at 25 yds that got a pass. Interestingly, 4-5 mature bucks hung back in the trees 75-100 yds downwind -- including one with double droptines -- and hung up about 75 yards. The mature bucks definitely were more wary that something was up. I am convinced, we would not have seen any of these deer with the wind the way it blowing had we not been using the Ozonics. Red

Sorry man, but I have had deer downwind from me before and not spook; also vice versa. I don't use Ozonics or any other scent control clothing, I do however pay attention to the wind but often in hunting, deer come from where you least expect them. In my early days of bow hunting, I wasted my money and paid dearly for scent proof clothing only to be busted as many times as when I were not wearing scent proof clothing. If you look up the recent studies and science behind both products, neither are an effective way to eliminate scent, which is what they, especially Ozonics is advertised to do. Basically, in order to eliminate bacteria or human scent, an Ozone device would have to produce levels that would harm or kill a human being. Not interested. I will say this though, it's like any other placebo, if you can afford it and it gives you peace of mind, by all means use it as the Primos crew and many others need to pay the bills. I don't have an opinion on the blind, but I could see from a practical standpoint where it could work.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Yeh, I've had hunts where deer downwind havent busted me, but not a single one out of maybe 20 deer busted two of us sitting together.

I have 2 buddies that swear by ozonics, they aren't scared to hunt any wind at all.
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

Nice video. I am skeptical of the ozonics effectiveness like I would guess most are until they are convinced by seeing it work for themselves.

Cool video and interesting test of the products. I have heard both suck, so it is good to see they don't suck as bad as I have heard. I don't believe that little machine can cover up my farts much less my body odor, but glad it worked for you. Those deer knew something was up, but didn't act like they were overly concerned.

I'll just hang some sweaty stinky work clothes up in the tripod and sit back and watch from the deer blind

From about a week or so ago... Would someone please try this that has one!!!! Put some fresh dog droppings in your bedroom. Put the ozonics over it to "cover the scent". Wait for your wife to come home and video her reaction If you don't want to go that far, cover your dogs food bowl so that can't see it. Of course, move it from it's usual spot but in the same room. Put the ozonics over it and see if your dog starves... Waiting on results to either

What if Red don't have a dog or a wife Can he call you over to find the fresh dog poop that he put in his house?

Well I got one of each. But if I've got that much free time I'm probably gonna sneak off and go sit in the stand.

http://www.fieldandstream.com/articles/h...er2&lnk=IMGInteresting as I have followed these tests and always thought the ozone a was nothing really to worry about, and I an on still hunting the wind as much as possible. But, this test using a dog showed the ozonics clearly demonstrated a difference. Confusing a dog vs spooking a deer are two different things though as the dog is not a prey animal...
