Alright time to reveal the answer. Believe it or not that buck is 11.5 years old. I first saw him in 2007 as a 4 year old and he is extremely smart! Since 2007 I am only aware of him being seen in person 3 times. I was really surprised he showed up this year because he was looking pretty bad last year. He was starting to get kind of thin and had a large mass growing under his rear left leg almost in his gut area. I figured for sure the hard winter would do him in but he survived. We have had great range conditions this year and his body shows it as well. He has easily put on 15 pounds since the last pics of him in November of last year and his growth under his rear leg appears to be gone now. So for those of you that saw him as a very mature buck then give yourselves a pat on the back. For those of you that saw him as a 3 year old........its time to get your eyes checked! If and when I get some color pics of him I will post them. It should help reveal his age a little better.

This equals 9 right?!?!? All kidding aside, some 3yr olds are very hard to distinguish from old run down bucks past there prime.
