The old hoyt is shaking in it's case waiting for October 1st! Shooting easton FMJ's 400 grain with 100 grain rage extreme chisel tips. Hoping this guy shows up in the daylight and gets me in the pope and young club, but I don't think he'll quite make it. ] ] ]

Don't think he will but it would be close. I'm looking for five about 15 3/4" long or four like that and one over 24". But I'll be on Fork fishing a tourney.

I don't think so either. I think he's a 6.5 year old 120" deer. Good luck in the tournament. I've always wanted to get involved in fishing tournaments. They seem like a blast.

Shooting the same Mathews EZ7 that I've used the past two years. Black Eagle Deep Impact arrows and Slick Trick heads.
I'll start hunting a little next week in Kansas.

Not sure what I'll be shooting this year, it's between my Bear Grizzly or my 65# self made long bow ( I call the beast). With my Bear if it's within 25 yards it's dead, but it feels so good to harvest something with a homemade bow and string. With the Bear I'll be flinging Gold Tip Traditional arrows with five inch feather tipped with 200gn Muzzy Phantoms, with the Beast, I'll be using cedar arrows with Zwickey show no mercy total arrow weight 743gns, it's whisper quiet. To be perfectly honest, I rather stick a nice 100 pound pig for the grill. I still have plenty of venison in the freezer from last year, I need to eat before I add more to the freezer. At our place the big ones don't show up till the rut anyway. But I have lots and lots of pigs. I just haven't had much time to pig hunt this year, been really busy with knives and have several projects in West Texas going on that has kept me away from the ranch and a lake house at P.K. that I've been spending two weeks each month at in fact going this weekend to catch some more stripers, and stick some gars with my bow! Life is Good!

I'll be using either a Martin Howatt Hunter or a Moosejaw longbow.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I won't bowhunt opening day, so don't have anything on the hitlist. Really just want to take a doe for some meat, but I havent' even set up a pop up or tripod.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
