Was in the market to get a new pair of binoculars and saw where cabelas had these for 799.99. Wanted to know if anyone had any experience or opinions on these. Really didnt want to spend this much but thought it might be worth it. thanks for any input

Can't answer about the binos. Before you spend that kinda $$ at Cabelas check out opticsplanet.com Even with shipping they're usually cheaper. I recently bought a pair of Burris Fullfield II in 8x42 for about $30 less than the retailers.

Money spent on good glass is always worth it! Buy good once and be done.

I have no direct experience with Leupold HD's but I hear they are pretty good. Might also check out the Meopta or Cabelas Euro (same bino) in that price range, I know they are very good. Vortex Razor in that price range is also excellent, plus the Vortex warranty is unbeatable.
