Have a buddy who is nice enough to take me and my 11 yo boy on his first teal hunt. He is a good shot. My boy shoots a Rem 1100 LT 20ga. All i can find locally is 20 ga 2 3/4 steel 7/8 in #7's. Will that be ok for teal?

If they are in close that should work. If you're planning on taking long rang shots then I would look for something a bit heavier.

It will ok within 20 yards Nr 4 would be better. Expect finishing the bird on the water. He might be a swimmer. Next time, on hist first hunt, buy him a box or 2 of nr 4 heavy shot.

I shoot 3 heavy metal at about everything. Lots bang for buck. Rogers has them very reasonable by flat as well-

Where are you located? I have a bunch of 20 ga #3. Wouldn't mind selling you a few boxes.

I shot one this weekend with a BB Hevi Metal... luckily it was a skull cap. My buddy named him Kennedy. In our defense we were set up for geese and just happened to get buzzed. I picked up a couple boxes of "Teal Steel" #6 but haven't patterned it nor shot one with it.
