I have had my property in Dickens county for 3 years now and as you all know we have had a terrible drought. I planted my first food plot in April and it took a month to get substantial rain. The food plot, my first ever took Off, I mean I was the man!!! Unfortunately It didnt rain at All in August and my super plot dried up.. Well not discouraged I cleared an additional acre last week Now I have 2 1 acre plots. Disced , seeded and fertilized monday and tuesday the week before this week. Woo we got rain on Friday and saturday and Now OMG we got rain this weds, thurs, today and I see it will rain through Sunday!!!!!!! My local contact has told me it has rained already over 6"s and Now I am concerned it may be TOOOO much. Should I be concerned. I did rake in the seed!!!

Youll be just fine if you covered the seed. as long as there is some sunlight and good temps in-between

Didn't think we would ever be wishing for the rain to stop where we hunt Flashprism, but after all the rain, getting stuck dove hunting, and seeing the ranch look like springtime I'm ready to send that rain somewhere else. I'm sure Don K. could use it down in Bandera.
