Are you planning a hunt?

I've been to Namibia back in the 90's for plains game and then just last month to South Africa for plains game. Two hunts for a total of 19 animals. This time I brought my wife who shot two animals.

There isn't anyplace like it!!!!

Did a plains game hunt in South Africa a few years back. Great hunt and great experience. Can't wait to get back and do it again. Can make outfitter recommendations if you need it. Just PM.

Just got back from Namibia in June with my daughter and Omujeve was top notch! Animals expected to be shipped in next week as just wired funds to shipper since he has received from Reiser Taxidermy couldn't have been more pleased and you can search my posts to find link to pics.

I really want to go but I'm waiting to on when my kids are old enough and I can tag along to watch them shoot something. Maybe graduation gift to them or something like that.

This is interesting, I heard Namibia is the place, then there is South Africa and Uganda..

I looked at Namibia as a first safari location as well ... and it will probably be my next. I was traveling with my daughter and went with a South Africa hunt because of the nonhunter options including a drive along the garden route and a stay in Cape Town.

This video might help you out, while yes, it is a promotional video for a particular outfitter, the questions answered in the video apply to a lot of outfitters. Methods of hunting, daily schedules, airport pickup, guides, food, etc are all covered. Ive been on 4 safaris and while each company of course will have its own tendencies and ways of doing things, the basic formula is pretty much the same (for the better outfitters, anyway)

Just got back from my second trip hunting in South Africa. Hunting africa will literally ruin you from other hunts. I have already booked my third trip, Namibia this time for some more plains game. It is a lot less money than you think. It's comparable in price to most guided western hunts and a lot cheaper than say a Alaska moose or brown bear hunt. Be warned, if you go you will become a member of AA (Africa Anonymous) ;-).

I am wanting to book a hunt, I work in Africa quite a bit (I'm in Nigeria right now) With future work in Mozambique or Angola. I think I can squeeze a trip in one of these trips over (read I hope I can). Then one of the major costs is already cut way down! And as a bonus, I won't have any jet lag to deal with!!!
