I was scouting Ray Bob (only locals will get that one, so no lake naming worries) and found several large groups of teal eating rocks near the dam. Is the dam in the wildlife sanctuary or is it free game? If I were to spread pea gravel in the area, would it be considered baiting.
I guess since they are migratory like dove birds, they eat them rocks to help digest grain and crawfish and stuff that they eat?
Any advise and help with this is appreciated. I'm relatively new at this, was thinking my normal turkey loads would suffice.

Not baiting, I regularly spread a few thousand airsoft bb's on my hunting spots bc it reflects the UV light and the birds think it's grain.

My wife purchased me a bunch of plastic corn ears fer mallards this winter. Its totally legal cause it's plastic like them decoys. In essence, I reckon them plastic BB's and Plastic corns would be considered Decoys as well. I'm talkin about using REAL rocks. The real thing. They got em by the bags full at Home Depot. I can just pitch the bags from the road if its legal

It's a lot like a snow blower but for gravel for ducks

Have you given any consideration to plastic rocks?
Less weight and completely legal because they are plastic like that fake corn.

I just picked up some featherlite inflatable corn and bread loaf decoys to use on Raybob. Good louch hunting the dam tomorrow, if you can beat me to it. Awesome teal spot.

As did my family. My dad prolly cut the trees on the brush pile you fish on, so not hatin. Just wish you'd call the gw instead of post on here.

Did I stumble on your honey hole? I guess I'll just let you have the dam location then. No offense and sorry about naming it on here. I gotta go now. Need to get in line at the Buck Creek ramp with every other yahoo from D/FW.I hear that If you run as far North East as you can from the ramp, there are even better gravel bars for teal slayin. Indian Creek is also a winner during Big duck season.

Heck with that. Ramps too congested already.
Youngin', I'm going to go put in at Isle D' Bois and run over to the main lake point between the two branches. If you run up that slough, there is an old pond back in there. Have to watch your motor cause it'll drag on the dam if you are not careful. That place is so good that I won't even bring decoys cause I ain't gonna need em. You are welcome to meet me there or if you bring some real good binoculars, you can see me wave at you in the morning, if you hunt the lake Dam. Maybe we can tag team them or bounce them back and forth between each other. That's prolly my best spot as the birds cut that point when coming off the West Branch Sanctuary.
I tried to PM this to ya, but I don't post on forums much and have a hard time figuring all this out.
Hope you have a good un
