I wasn't calling or anything, was trying to stalk up on some corn thieves and caught a coyote with my thermal, so I decided to ditch the coons and stalk up on the coyote. I was in business as the wind was in my favor. As I was moving in for a closer shot (it was windy tonight which made for a lot of dust in the air and I wanted to get as close as I could to make sure and hit this guy) I lost sight of the coyote for a couple times but always seemed to catch him again, so I kept moving in...when lo and behold one coyote turned into two. I decided with double my chances for a hit I would go ahead and pop off some lead. When I first shot I noticed the coyotes just multiplied and what was one coyote had turned into about 6 or 7 (couldn't keep count) and I just started squeezing off shots. I watched one drop, turned to the others and put a few shots down range and eventually connected on two and three, possibly a fourth but not sure if he was just trying to figure out what just happened or if he was wounded and moving out slowly. My thermal scope was showing low battery and I didn't want to press my good fortune too much so I let the fourth go. My first multiple kill and they were all juvenile males.
