Thanks guys. Hopefully everyone has success this bow season. I have only taken one doe with my bow and that was 3 years ago. I hope to get my first buck this season.

First of all AWESOME set up; hard to beat a ground blind that is always my favorite to hunt out of. Good luck sticking a giant buck this season.

Stand looks great!!! Good Luck I have been building ground blinds for years in West Texas and love them. How deep do you make it? I tend to change mine up from year to year, but the overall design stays about the same. For me, it seemed to work pretty well to make the back wider than the front. About 5-6' deep seemed to be optimal to create enough of a shadow without reducing the light so much that I had a hard time seeing my pin in low light conditions. Also, I use the black concrete fabric as a wrap so it doesn't take as much foliage to cover it all...and we don't have cedar, so I used sticks Yours looks better, but here is one of mine

Is the back end open? If not how do you get in this type of stand?

I just took hog panels and made a circle and then stacked another one on top. Tied the 2 together and made a crawl through door. Not sure on the exact measurements inside but I made it more oblong in order to draw the bow back. Stand looks great!!! Is the back end open? If not how do you get in this type of stand? It is a complete circle built with hog panels. I cut an opening large enough to crawl through but left enough on the bottom to keep the structure sound.

I cut an opening large enough to crawl through but left enough on the bottom to keep the structure sound. I cut one of the panels and used tie wraps to make hinges. I use electrical wire as a latch and it opens and closes with no problem. Having the black felt paper makes it easier to make a door too.

Those both look awesome. We built a new 1 last weekend too. We used 3 hog panels on this 1 and built it inside a living cedar so there will always be some green and some brown This is the backside with entrance on left you spiral around and into the seat

Looks good Adv We don't have cedar on our place, so some of the bow hunters started trimming some out of the bar ditches on the way to the ranch and would brush their stands in. I used to weave broomweeds into the panels until I switched to the black cloth.
