Just thought I'd start a thread for all you elk hunters to post up pics and stories of your adventures. I'm not going this year but would love to live vicariously through you guys that are going. I know of several of you and am sure there are many more. Good luck and Godspeed to all of you!

We just got back last night from our archery trip. 5 days in the CO mountains. Saw some elk, but nothing within bow range. They were not bugling yet. We heard a few, but nothing coming to calls or responding.

I leave next Friday to colorado, but my 2 uncles and cousin already tagged out at my parents place 6x6 350" a 6x6 330" and a small 5x5, they called everyone in one uncle has missed 2 5x5 and a cow he gets a little shacky. I cant wait ill try to get pics got one of the little one still waiting on the 2 bigger ones. Good luck to all that is going

Here are a couple taken up behind my parents place that my cousin and uncle have shot my 2 other uncles killed 5x5's but dont have pic yet. When I talked to my one uncle lastnight in the last 4 days they have had 10 bulls within 30yrds. They have seen 3 in the 350-360 range the big one scored 358. I leave next week and the rut hasnt started yet so im excited im not to late. Enjoy

I'm headed out to the Absaroka Mountains in 5-6 weeks to chase elk. Didn't get mine last year but was on a herd of about 300. The wind and snow limited out ability to get close enough to them. We were about the tree line for the most part. Going back to the same spot this year though. Here was my horse, her sweat froze over:
