Cabela's has an Northern Flight single reed on sale for 69.00 right now. Comes with lifetime warranty and free replacement reeds and corks as needed. They're on back order right now. Ordered mine in the middle of Aug. and received my shipment e-mail two days ago. The warranty applies only to the single reed.

RNT short barrel is always a good option as well as the old style if you want a little more rasp and takes no air to run. My favorite call starting out however was the original, extremely easy to run and grow on. The original sounds a bit cleaner than the short barrel that can get squeaky and raspy when you want. All of these can be had in wood for under $100, mackspw has them now.
