Hey everybody, I got a feeder set up and every time I go to check the feeder and camera there is always a [censored] load of birds! Even when I check my Game Camera, you can see the pictures that there is a lot of birds just eating up the corn. Is there any thing I can do or set up to scare them away or keep them away. Anybody have suggestions?

What kind of birds? What time is your feeder set to feed at? Are you feeding only corn or mixing in something else in with the corn?

Doesn't sound like a problem to me

Great problem to have. For the most part the doves will move on when the season changes and fronts move thru. Might build a quail feeder with milo/cracked corn and put it in the brush away from the feeder. As far as the doves...shoot them (just kidding on the doves around the feeder)

Be glad it isn't a flock of 30 turkey! Corn would be gone before it hit the ground.

Be glad it isn't a flock of 30 turkey! Corn would be gone before it hit the ground. Nothing worse than a bunch of turkeys hitting the feeder before the deer get there, man they can clear out the place in jiff. Most of the little birds just eat cracked pieces of corn, and doves, etc don't eat much, or they just eat the little pieces the deer leave. We enjoying some of the birds that migrate through, some pretty cool ones show up.

Don't see the dove and quail eating whole kernels, but maybe pieces

Well reason why its a problem to me is cause im just hunting either hog or deer not quail or doves. As a matter of fact i have never eaten dove or quail. Maybe i should take advantage n kill some to eat some.

I know of no way to keep crows away from corn.

I have this problem with two of the feeders on my lease. Maybe I have special dove, but I'll get a couple of groups of 50 or so that swoop in, eat for about 10 minutes and when they fly out, the ground is barren. The occasional blue jays and cardinals will just eat a little of the broken pieces. However, the dove I have will eat everything on the ground. I changed my feeder times to be a little earlier and a little later in the hopes I could get some corn on the group for the deer and hogs before the dove ate it all. If it's as bad this year as it was last year, I may end up buying a remote control for my feeder so I can spin it again after the dove clear everything out.
Thanks, Rich

I have tons of crows, thinking about taking my .22 out one morning and taking care of the problem.

I have tons of crows, thinking about taking my .22 out one morning and taking care of the problem. Take a pellet gun and you will be able to get a few. They are going to fly away after the first shot with a .22.

Don't worry about it. The deer have other things to eat at this time. When they want the corn they will be there before the dove eat it all up.

I don't mind a few dove in the pen I know when they bug out that something is coming in. I've got a budding turkey problem. Started out with 2 now it's about 8. They don't seem to bother the deer so they're safe for now.
