That's where the tractor and rope come in handy.

happened to my 10 year old this weekend. He wanted to go "whiz" in the tank. It use to be six acres and is now about a quarter acre. Sunk up to mid thigh and had to throw him a rope. It smelled about like one would expect.

One of the reasons we grass lease our place to a rancher, that stuff is too much work for an old man.

this is why granded put a solar powered pump that keeps a water trough full just above the tank... Looks funny with a big'ole round water trough 20 yards from the normal tank level but with it being low it makes sense
Sombody smells like fried borritos...

I saw a cow stuch in a runoff ditch at the Anahuac Wildlife refuge once. Gators were all around it. We went up and told the park ranger and they called the rancher. I know that cow was scared. If it wouldn't be for it being low tide I think the gators would have had her.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

We may have to put electric fence around this pond and maintain the other one at 75% full 200 yards away. Gets to expensive to maintain both tanks in the heat of S. Tex. The problem was the soot at the bottom of tank. Feel bad totally our fault. We are pumping water in that tank now to raise water level some.

We had to pull a dead one out of a tank. Winch, Cable, Rhino. Not fun, not pretty, not sweet smelling. Lets hope and pray from rain.

We have watering areas dug out on each of the ponds.. they are pretty much a boat ramp but just for the cows to use.. they hardly go to any other part of the ponds

use to deal with it all the time..we ran 500 to 1000 heifers at any one time and you can always bet on a few...we had a deal that kinda went around there hip bones and you could hook it to a strap and with a truck, or 4 wheeler pull on it enough to help them get up and out..worked good

Unfortunately it has been a common occurrence in my part of the world. I have lost a half dozen or more cows in the last 4 years.

Navasot those fellas that use the neck or horns are idiots! Not smart! I would of used tow straps on Nessie, but had them stolen from my buddies truck here in San Antonio...go figure lol
