Bought it brand new last yr at Academy. First shot goes bang then I have to tug and pull. Two things. I hope I don't have to take it back to Academy and hope you don't tell me I need high priced shotgun shells I always shoot cheap. Give me a fix please

Well the good news is that you won't have to take it back to Academy because all firearm sales are final and they won't take it back, you'll have to deal directly with the manufacturer or distributor to get it repaired/replaced.
That said, there are a multitude of things that could cause a semi-auto shotgun to not eject. Ejector, ejector spring, bolt, recoil spring, etc or a combination. I hate to ask but is it lubed up good? In my experience, that's the number one cause of failure that I see in semi-auto weapons in general that get brought in.

Academy will send it back free of charge to be repaired and the repair will also be free if it's even needed.
Also, little known fact, Yildiz firearms CAN be returned at Academy, but they don't advertise that.

I may be misunderstanding you, but is it just not ejecting the fired shells? If so, my Yildiz 12 ga. O/U did the same thing. I had to remove my ejectors and clean a lot of factory gunk off of them and out of the recesses where they sit. I cleaned everything and lubed them and haven't had a problem since. They actually worked much better than they did when it was brand new. I don't remember exactly how to remove them, but you can google it (that's how I found the instructions).
EDIT: I just noticed yours is a semi auto. I guess I was comatose when I read it the first time. I still think it's probably an issue of getting all of the factory gunk out of it.

Chupa I stand corrected. I now see that they make an exception in their firearm return policy for Yildiz or other Academy private label brands.

Are you shooting remington shells by chance? The cheaper yellow hulls?

Probably just needs a good cleaning. All new guns do. Even more so with firearms from that region of the world. They are slathered in cosmoline and that stuff gets in everything. Chupa

I bought a 20 ga auto that did the same thing. I took it back. They sent it to Briley in Houston saying it would be fixed in a few weeks. When I called Briley a few weeks was actually 3 to 4 months. After a little complaining to Academy they gave me a new shotgun.
These guns need to run very wet for the first few boxes. The new gun has run great for 2 years now. We have an occasional failure to eject but that means it's time to clean it.

Clean it, lube it, and try some AA shells.

Academy will ship any gun that you bought from them back to the manufacturer for warranty work free of charge. They took really good care of me with my Beretta Neos last year. Take it back and they will work it out. Now, you will be without your gun for a while but it won't cost you a dime. Those funds have had their share of issues. Most of the semis have been sent back at least once. Best of luck to you on this!

Academy will take care of you. In 2010 I bought a Remlin 336W from them and when I mounted a scope the base holes were drilled and tapped canted to the left. Academy sent it back to Remlin for me. When it returned, the ejector had been replaced but Remlin had not fixed the original issue. Academy promptly gave me a new rifle.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

Check the o-ring first. Most of the cheaper imports are based off the expired 1100 patent

Academy has a deal with Yildiz to be it's exclusive distributor. That's why there is the Academy corporate info printed on the guns. Academy will simply take your Yildiz and send it to a contracted vendor, as of 4 years ago it was Briley here in Houston, and do warranty work. As opposed to shipping all the way back to Turkey.
At one point u could take your resenctly purchased Yildiz directly to Briley and they'd accept it, no questions asked. I have literally done this for an O/U for my uncle who claimed the trigger didn't reset the 2nd shot. Long story short, they confirmed the shotgun was fine and didn't charge him or me penny.
Send it in to them. Since I live in houston, I'd straight up call Briley. They have an incentive too because I'm sure they back charge Academy for services rendered.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!
