If anyone is interested we could have a Mini-GTG over there on Saturday Afternoon. I believe it is $15.00 per person to get in, but if a person has never been, it is worth it, EyE-Candy takes on a whole new meaning.

I'll be out there most of Saturday, My uncle will have a booth there.

I am not sure if Lora and I will make it, but I am going to try.

It is really a neat experience in my opinion, and the Taxidermy work on display is fantastic.

My wife Martha and I are going. Saturday morning we will be at the Tackle show in Arlington and the Dallas Safari Club convention on Sonday. We could probably make a get-together there on Saturday afternoon.

All we need is a time and meeting location, I will look at a map of the exhibits and bars if I can find one on the DSC site and we can work from there.

Anyone who attends should try and see one of the survival seminars by Peter Kummerfeldt. His seminars are free and are not full of the crap you read in survival manuals about how to make a fire with two sticks or any other obscure method. He is nothing like Les Stroud or Bear Gryllis, who know a lot more about making TV than they do surviving (and I am saying that as a fan of both of their shows). He was the head Air Force survival instructor for decades and talks about being prepared so you don't have to rely on two sticks to make a fire, or a super fancy lean-to shelter to keep the rain off you. Anyone who goes hunting, fishing or hiking in the outdoors runs the risk of being lost and needing a rescue, so you owe it to yourself and your loved ones to know what the hell you are doing if that happens.

I servived two tours in Vietnam. And I always carry a back pack, even to a stand. I can servive. But I could always pickup pointers.

I'll be there. A potential client of mine (I do advertising, websites, that kind of thing) has a booth there. I've been the last 3 years and it's a lot of fun. This year I'm taking the wife and my twin girls (age 2.5) to see the animals.

Is a membership of any kind required for entrance or is the $15 entry fee the only requirement?

The $15.00 is General Admission to the show.

To me, Saturday is the bst day to go.
