No, but I have a friend that works there. Nice place. Some MONSTER deer out there.

It's near the Strawn-Mingus exit off of I-20, at New York hill. Close to 'Marys'in Strawn. It used to be called 'Elk castle'.

If you shoot a young deer because a neighbor will shoot it, you are that neighbor.

The place is nice upscale dining etc. From what I have understood they are primarily a wing shooting place but they also do deer and exotic hunts. as for the price vs the quality of the deer I believe they are high.

They are primarily known for upland bird hunting, but the manager, Bill Honza, used to work at the Sanctuary up in Michigan and is doing a lot of work to improve the deer herd. From what I saw, it is working. I was there three or four times last year to photograph deer and was lucky enough to take a "management" buck (A dream buck by my standards). The lodge and amenities are world class. Here is a writeup on the hunt: http://www.lsonews.com/well-worth-wait/

Oh, hey Charrison... I was there the day you were hunting last year. I was with my buddy Craig the first day you were there. I was there to shoot a managment buck as well...LOL. We never saw one that was small enough . I ended up helping thin out some of the last few hogs that had gotten in the place. Did you get a picture of the breeder that hangs out in the bird pasture? The one that looks like he has tree trunks growing from his head. We were actually hunting for the 8 you shot.

I have hunted near them for years. I enjoy the occasional pheasant I find on while on our property.

I hunted at Greystone for the first time earlier this year. Shot a 174" WT, a 19" Blackbuck and a mixed bag of birds. The facilities and amenities are first-class. Prices were pretty high, but it was a very nice few days.

I hunted there several times when Porter Dunaway and Doug Cannon were managers. Great hunts and great deer. Truly fine by any standard!

My family and I bird hunt there every year. Amazing upland bird hunting, lodging and service. Never hunted big game there but have seen other hunters take some nice trophies.
Chef Trey prepares three great meals a day for guests.
If you are going get lunch on your way in at the cafe in Thurber right off I-20.

Hunted upland game when it was Elk Castle and it was awesome! Have also shot the sporting clays course and 5 stand here several times and always had a good time!
