I duck/dove hunt only and freshwater fish. That is the premise for this discussion.

So the Super Combo $68 has hunting and fishing and all the state stamps you could need. Add HIP and Fed Duck Stamp and you are done.

It appears the Combo Hunting and Freshwater Fishing $50 license describes no stamps other than freshwater fishing. It would save you $5 vs. buying the Fishing $30 and Hunting $25 alone, but you still need to get the state Migratory Stamp $7. Cost is $57 and you still need HIP and Fed Duck stamp.

Still looks like that would save $11 right?

Its is worth it to buy the super combo. The one time you don't someone will invite you on a trip that you don't have a tag for then it ends up being more. I always do the super combo.

I used to only fish 1 day a year at most. I would buy the hunting license, the migratory stamp and then the day I fished I would get the $11 license and be good.

Now I take my kids to the local ponds and I figure it would be good to have it for the season, which is why I was looking at the combo.

Yep. No reason to give money for licenses you won't use.
