 when did the draw hunts gets moved to weekdays

Most of the draw hunts used to be on the weekends. Now it seems they are mostly Monday thru Friday. That sucks!

They were all moved to week days in early 90s so that non hunting public could have the SP and WMA during weekend.

Yep. I've been appying for the draws for about 15 years now. I do not ever recall them being on the weekends. Some may have been, but not any that I ever applied for.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, for the last 20 years or so, all my draw hunts have been during the week. Only the youth hunts that my son drew were on weekends.
Which draw hunt are you talking about? I have only noticed in the past that a couple of them were on a weekend, but 90 something percent of them are during the week. Always been like that.

There was a shift from weekend hunts to weekday hunts about 10 years ago on the WMA. I talked to TPWD personnel about this and they said it was to cut back on overtime. The state park hunts have always been on weekdays.
