Everybody that is over 30 is tired, sore, and hungry when they are done. That coupled with the realization that the hunt is over and the return to the work and/or school is at hand. That is enough to turn Santa Claus into Scrooge. I don't know about the rest of you, but the return to the suburbs is not welcome on my agenda.
I know what you're thinkin'.....and you're wrong!

I'm usually exhausted because of the long hikes in and out of the public spots I hunt. I had a bout of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) a few weeks ago when I forgot to pack a snack in my blind bag and that made it worse.

I've had mostly single bird hunts. I guess if I got more than 2 I'd be smiling.
I think I was smiling with my Canvasback and my Pintail. I know I was smiling for my first duck ever in early Teal season.

I still get the 'duck fever' shakes after shooting them. I hope I never outgrow it... I smile in my pics!
Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.

Haven't killed that many birds, so I haven't had many chances to have my picture taken.
But I'll try and remember to smile if I get one.
