Anybody every hunt up around the North end of Lake Conroe in the National Forrest?? If so how was it?

Never hunted there however I have seen a ton of deer out there when I lived there.

Have a buddy that lives not too far from there and I see deer almost every time I drive to his house. Numbers won't be an issue.

Can't speak to size of the bucks though.

I have never hunted up there either, but I have ridden my dual sport through the area during season. Some of the people I have seen up there would make me nervous to walk through the woods at the same time. I have heard of a few big bucks off of 149. I have seen quite a few and they were decent size does mostly. I am from Central, TX originally hunting over here is different from what I am used to. I think about every year until I see some of the people hunting in shnf. I am not saying all of them.
