2 sets of shrugs, 2 sets of sit-ups, big hill with big stick (4mi.version - the drill instructor went with me).

Body is telling me my light exercise may not be light enough, at least as far as the upper body goes. I'm sick of hearing myself complain, so I can imagine what y'all think, but the left shoulder/arm, now elbow, pains are waking me up at night. The rifle went up and went off Saturday with no problems and I don't want to mess that up. (I'm a LH shooter.) I might be just too old for pull-ups and push-ups. And I was in the darn band; I can't imagine how much I'd be beaching if I'd played football.

If I could do that on my workout I might be more motivated for sure! I drove to the metromess to buy ballet clothes this weekend (eat your hearts out) all day in the aC...then got home and worked late calves- I almost was sick from the temp difference- reminded me why I wake up early to work out. This morning- Walked dog #2, and jumped rope for a while....I hate jumping rope- remind me never to do it again.

This weather is perfect. Cool, overcast, light rain. Frac is down, too. I think I'll go lift some weights and take advantage of it.

Hey, I workout in poor weather, too. I just don't like it.

And I've seen others bail off the mountain when lightning started striking long before I quit. In fact, if I had the tag, I wouldn't have quit.

Your dad probably used good sense on that day.

I have see them run to the truck in a small snow storm confused2 I did that once, we sat in the truck laughing smoking a cigar. After it blew through we went back out with 8" of fresh snow. Truck was only 300 yards from a where I was sitting on a BLM access rd that day anyway and we didn't take a jacket.

I aspire to being Captain Dan on the mast of that boat during the 'cane in Forrest Gump.

My schedule just changed. I lost my Apache work due to a competitor bidding cheaper. Don't know where I'm going or how my workout are going to go now. Cardio will be tough. I lost my hill.

I'm sure you'll find a way. You're already more fit than most of us that will be out there in the woods, except of course Shawheel, or, as I like to refer to the young man now, Yogi.

Well that sucks, but I bet there will be another hill right around the corner. At least you will soon have new scenery.

We'll see. Work is the main concern right now.

The competitor actually offered the job to me. Good offer, too. I'm pretty loyal to these guys, though, as much as I like working on that lease.

A few pull-ups and the big hill 4mi. w/stick. I forgot Warrior III, I was in such a hurry to get going before it heated up too bad, then, the 50% humidity made it not bad at all. Got .8 of rain 2 days ago and a sprinkle yesterday evening. Kind of looked like a Houston afternoon pattern for a couple of days.

I'll try to do Warrior III tonight or tomorrow morning. Need to find some proper sitar music though. "Norwegian Wood" isn't gonna cut it. Hey, did you know Nora Jones is Ravi Shankar's daughter? She went to UNT ya know. But I digress, severely. Must be that "runner's high".

Nah, my old back still feels as weak as a kitten sometimes. A little work with the weed-eater yesterday reminded me of how far I still need to go. Trying to work on the core without having some other pain pop up. Still hoping the young 'uns will take pity on me if I'm fortunate to down something.

CR, assuming it wont be 80*, once the animal is broke down (to cool) and transport, you can take it as slow as you need up
