Howdy. Looking at buying a used 2011 Polaris 800 crew. 300hrs/3k miles, 4x4, hard top roof, folding windshield, winch & new tires. Just wanted to get y'all's opinions as to what a reasonable price would be? I'd really appreciate the help.

From what i have looked at i wouldn't buy a ranger or a used one at all!But if you asking for a price i would say around $8000 maybe if it is in really good shape .If you go look at texas atv on facebook there are a ton of them on there fro around that price or there was a few months ago.

8-9 is probably the area you'll see, those accessories are well over $1200 alone
Just paid $16000 for a 2014 crew EPS with all those same acc.

Price aside, I have a 2008 ranger 500 4X4 and love it, I use mine daily. Spent alot of time on the Polaris Ranger forum and off the top of my head the only thing negative I have heard about them is they generate a lot of heat under the seat. Most of the guy's on there have come up with a fix though, heres a link. http://www.prcforum.com/forum/forum.php

The downsides will be when engine/electrical/or transmission repairs have to be done.. well kept machines will be a while hopefully until you need it but id bet over 50% of owners don't do all the required maintenance in a timely manner... one big thing I see with liquid cooled machines is people don't keep the radiator clean... and by that I don't mean grabbing the build up off the front I mean blowing the radiator out to get the fine build up out of the middle... when your running enough hours in dusty/sandy conditions it doesn't take long to overheat an engine that small.

I sold my 2012 with folding windshield, Probox Top, lift, wheels, and tires for $13,000 last month. It was in excellent shape and had about half the miles you mention.

Unfortunately Ranger hold their value, and you don't know if they have been abused. I would recommend buying new.
