I had new scope mounted and bore sighted at a gunsmith/gun range in Ft. Worth a while ago, think it cost $25. Took the gun to shoot and sight-in to Alpine Gun Range (s. of Ft Worth)this morning for the first time since. Been going here for 30 yrs. Got all set up on the 100yd range, shot 5 rounds and didn't even hit paper, Well darn it, so I was headed to the 50yd to try that and before I got there one of the range masters stopped me to see if everything was ok. Well, I told him what was going on and he said "come with me, and bring about 5 rounds with you". He got out his binos and had me shoot 1 rd. Well to my surprise, it was about a foot off! So at 100 I was about 2 ft off! He actually dialed me in within 5-6 rounds. Went back to the 100yd range and I was able to complete the sight in. The man's name is Mike. Told me he just works weekends and If I come back just buy him a DR. Pepper. This gentleman went out of his way to help a complete stranger. Now that's customer service! Thanks again Mike.

Thanks for taking the time to post a positive review. 'Seems around guns, guys are either like this gentleman or the complete, polar opposite. No in-between.

I havent been there in years since they are a bit far, but even in the 80's they where good folks. Good to hear the tradition there continues.

The range where I go is ran by couple guys who get slammed a lot online for being unfriendly or short with people. I thought this at first too, but once they know you a bit, they get much friendlier.
In fact, a little too friendly maybe. Sometimes they wanna talk incessantly and I cant get in and out quick enough.

Yep, with the world in so much turmoil, everything going to cr&p and everyday customer service a joke, this man made my day. It seemed like he got more out of helping me than I did being helped. Thinking about taking the wife shooting in a couple of weeks just so I can take him that Dr Pepper.

seen the ROs at alpine spend alot time helping folks over years, yea they are gruff and short some time but good grief how many people do they catch sneaking in FMJ in spite of a sign every 5 ft saying not to.

I have never had any issues with the employees there . I don't shoot rifle or pistol there anymore due to all of the jackwagons there . The RO's have always been nice to me but I have seen them come down hard on said jackwagons. They have a good sporting clay course too .

I shot sporting clays there today 8/23 for a Charity Shoot. The targets had not changed 1 bit since the last time I shot there on July 12, 2014. So I was disappointed in the target set. Other than that it was ok.

Some(most) of the people that work @ Alpine are GREAT! But the few A holes that do work at Alpine, REALLY standout.
