it does not matter what choke you use KEEP your gun in front of the bird and never look down the barrel.
If it bleeds I can KILL IT

I use an IC for both. I shoot dove better with lead through an IC. With steel, the IC patterns as a modified from my shotgun. I'm considering a specialty choke such as a Patternmaster, Kicks, or get the Carlson's waterfowl choke set.

I'm considering a specialty choke such as a Patternmaster, Kicks, or get the Carlson's waterfowl choke set. I use the Carlson's waterfowl set for everything in my knockaround shotgun. "Close Range" (which is IC) for dove and hunting over decoys on the prairie. If I go to the coast hunting bigger water I'll swap for the M or F, but it probably isn't necessary. I keep a Skeet choke in the over and a light modified in the under on my Browning.

dove early in my OU: ic and mod Late season mod and full
Ducks usually mod all season long Sounds familiar. If I'm chootin' a semiauto, early season dove IC and later MOD. Early teal IC, big ducks MOD.

Full for everything. Either it dies or it flies away. No in between.
If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

Briley calls their LM chokes "Dove Buster". Great choke for doves!
