Very nice Hoosier...my bow spot is not far from you I'm just north of Montague. This is my first year hunting this track and have been feeding close to a month. First decent buck showed up below. I also hunt some land east of Nocona for years but haven't seen much for bucks over there it's pretty heavily hunted Y'all think about 3?

Checked my stuff last week. Nothing but pigs, does, fawns, and small bucks. Not one decent set of antlers yet. No more turkeys. I just put in food plots and hoping for a good rain later in the week.

I filled feeders the weekend before last. All 6 were hit that afternoon and evening. It really surprised me. Some were pretty impressive bucks. But, I didn't get that many doe pics.
I'm not real sure what's going on yet. Due to a pretty good acorn crop, hunting might be better later in the season. Or, the acorns might make hunting suck.
I'm just South of Bowie off Fruitland Road.

Looks to be 2 1/2 in the pic but hard to tell. Nice buck though! Still have the boys coming to my feeder for now along with the same 4-5 doe every night but at different times.

Lots of deer coming to feeders. More bucks than does. About 95% nocturnal. Acorns are starting to drop.

Had 4 bow hunters this weekend. One spike taken. Acorns have dropped and deer are ignoring feeders.

Anything to report in Montague from the group? I think I'll be in the stand tomorrow afternoon when the weather clears a bit and also Sunday morning. I also thought about checking the game cams to see how the activity has been with the acorns now dropping.

Didn't hunt this weekend, but checked cameras. lots of new bucks nothing to speak about. Acorns are dropping for sure but all small at my place and at home. But with the new bucks and doe on camera, things are changing......No telling what will show up any day now. I'm getting excited and everyone is to!!!

Not seeing anything but little bucks on cameras at feeders. Seeing pigs. Shot a few with my bow. This rain will help my wheat. I'll be out there next day or two to check cameras.

I had 2 bow hunters this weekend and they saw nothing. The high winds didn't help. I expect 40 MPH winds brought down a lot more acorns. The six Game Cameras are showing about 20% of the deer that showed up prior to the acorn drop. I figure hunting will be lousy until December.

I'm seeing a big 10 with double drop tines on 3 different cams. Never seen him before. Actually, in 25+ years of owning the place, I've never seen a double drop tine on cams. Of course, all pics are at night and I seriously doubt that he will show up during the day.

I'm just South of Bowie off Fruitland Road. Not to far from me. Im off 1125 just on the west side of Amon Carter. We have been seeing alot of deer and young bucks. Only one mature buck on cam and he's nocturnal 80% of the time.

Checked cams yesterday. Almost nothing coming to feeders and even that is mostly nocturnal when it does occur. The acorns are everywhere and corn is growing under the feeders. One night pic of the big double drop tine.
It will be a disappointing opener and most of November.
However, my wheat is looking good and I'm praying for rain. Turnips and radishes are up and OK in the shady spots. They germinated and died in the full sun areas.
