"Texas Monthly magazine chose Kincaid's hamburger as the "best burger in Texas". A national panel of food editors and food critics chose Kincaid's hamburger as the "best burger in the USA". Readers of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram have chosen Kincaid's as the "best burger in Tarrant County" year after year.

3,300 hamburgers were served on the single largest day in Kincaid's history. The hamburgers are handmade from 8eight ounces of the very best U.S. Choice boneless chuck available. The meat is ground fresh daily and everyday is virtually a sellout."

I'd agree with Texas Monthly on this one.....it's Kincaid's, then a bunch of burgers playing for second.

For those over on the east side, I really - REALLY love the buffalo and elk burgers at Ye Olde Butcher Shop in Plano. His beef burgers are good too but I allways get either buffallo or elk. Unfortunately he only has elk on Wednesdays.

I don't know about this...note that these rankings/awards weren't given in 2008 as far as I know.

Let me just say first that I love Kincaids, and in fact I had a couple of their burgers two days ago. But the reality is that Kincaids isn't even the best burger in Fort Worth anymore. We have so many great ones it's amazing.

My ranking:
1. The Love Shack (http://www.shakeyourloveshack.com/)
2. Fred's (http://www.fredstexascafe.com/)
3. Kincaids
4. Dutch's (http://www.dutchshamburgers.com/)
5. Boomer Jack's (http://www.boomerjack.com/BJG/index.html)

Honorable mentions would include Tommy's and Billy Miner's. As a burger lover I am truly blessed to live in Cowtown!

I wish I was West of the Pecos today.

I agree that Kincaids is no. 1, but Neals Handy Hamburgers in Cleburne will give Kincaids a run for their money, garunteed!

Good Burger at Kincaids. Also got a winery about 3 doors down. A bunch of us went there the other day, women and men who like wine can set there and try all differnet types, while dudes like me that dont like it can bring in your favorite drink from the cool colorado mountains.

Randy burger in Mt. Pleasant. Try one out if you ever come east to hit Sandlin or Monticello.

Yes, Herd's is still the KING of TX Burgers. Kincaids are bigger, but there is no contest on the flavor. At least 1 a week, sometimes 2 if I'm lucky. Double-Double all the way with a cold Big Red. Can't beat it.
