I was wondering if it is worth the time to raise barbados or corsican sheep. I have found some young ones for about $75 each.

I would get the best genetics you can get. Might try mouflon from a breeder like north texas mouflon.

I agree with hogmess, it is going to cost you the same amount to feed a very marketable sheep vs a less marketable sheep. It's all about genetics and size when it comes to selling rams.

It depends on how much you want to work at it and how much you are willing to spend. As was said above, feed cost the same. What you are attempting to raise is where the money is. At first getting started and later hopefully coming in. And the coming in part doesn't happen overnight.
