I shot this guy 11/28/08 on my lease near Northfield (Motley County). He is currently at Animal House Taxidermy in Whiskey Flats, and should be on my wall in 8 or so months. I'm really proud of this buck, seeing that he's my first, and hopefully not my last!! Let me know what y'all think. His spread was 16.5 inches.

My first was a 5 pt, and I was sure proud. That one will give you a real challenge to try to top. Congrats on a great deer.
Dozer, mulched, and trackhoe work. Fencelines, senderos, tanks. Let me know if I can help with any dirtwork or construction.

I know it. I was sitting in the stand drinking a couple of "kool-aid"s when he walked out from behind the feeder. I told myself all season I would just stay calm and breathe. Yeah, that didn't happen. I started shaking and got really excited. Then I pulled my gun up under a shootin stick and waited for him to give me his shoulder. Gentle squeeze, and when the dust settled, all I saw laying under the feeder was a set of antlers. I called my buddy to go get the truck. I was really proud. Great memory I'll never forget, and that trophy sure won't let me.

Real fine buck and extra fine that it's your first. Congrats!

Congrats, most people don't kill thier 1st deer of that quality. I know it didn't. I hope it only gets better from here on out.
