I was walking around at Aransas Wildlife Refuge a while back and I think I passed this young Gator twice before I noticed him. He/she was about 3' long maybe a bit less. The Sharp Shinned Hawk with the dove I took in my yard.

Nice pics. We have a hawk in my neighborhood. A couple weeks ago my wife called me at work asking why there were feathers and blood on the front walk way. It was a kill from the hawk. Looked like dove feathers.

thanks for the comments and glad everyone enjoyed them. I actually watched this hawk chasing the dove across my back yard, zipping through the trees. As they sped over a fence line and behind a tree, I saw feathers come floating down. Found he hawk and dove about 40' the other side of the fence.

Nice shots.
