My son and I were doing some yard work when the dobie let me know something wasn't right in the front yard flower bed. We found this fellow. Released him later out in our field.

Really nice bull snake (aka gopher snake). No rat problems with that guy around. I have one that is about 5 years old and over 5' long. Great snakes!

Pretty cool snake... But even cooler cages in the back. We had cages at our house growing up, it was always the place to be during baseball season!

If you keep your hair short and your mouth shut, things tend to run a lot smoother.

Cool pic, glad yal let him go.
When I was a kid we killed them all. I still don't know what most of them are, but pretty much if it isn't a rattler copper head or cotton mouth I let it go.
It's hell eatin em live

Definitely a beneficial asset to have around, but it's still hard for me to leave any snakes living. Mama always said a good snake, is a dead snake!
