Pecan Lodge had to move out of their location in the Farmer's Market and opened up their new restaurant in Deep Ellum. Still the best BBQ in Dallas. Ate their this morning and it was every bit as good as the Farmer's Market location. Brisket was excellent as usual, but I was particularly impressed with the pork ribs. They had been sold out of pork ribs by the time I had ordered on all three of my previous visits, but they might have been the best pork ribs I have ever had. Burnt ends were incredible as well. Got there at 10:15 and only had about 30 people in line, but by the time it opened the line went all the way down the block and around the corner. Was too hungry and took a big bite before I could get a pic taken.

Gonna' have to try that place. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Can't get enough of this place. Went back with a group of buddies who were in town for a wedding. Food was incredible again. Picture doesn't do it justice.

Went there today. The brisket is outstanding but the 1/2 lb was two pretty thin slices and nowhere near 1/2 lb. It was too much hassle to fight the crowd to ask about the serving size. At $10 for 1/2 lb I was disappointed after waiting almost an hour. Have eaten at both locations several times and this was the first time I wasn't really pleased.

Want to try this place but really don't want to wait in that kind of line. Was hoping when they got moved into their new location the line would be more manageable.

Some of the Yelp reviews aren't looking too great.

Went there today with my boss. Got there about 10:45 and they opened the doors at 11. We were far enough up in line that when the doors opened and the line moved inside I was able to get in the A/C. Now for the food: Brisket-very tender and moist. Good flavor. Pulled Pork- I usually don't order pulled pork at bbq joints anymore because it's usually bland and mushy. My boss wanted to try it and I have to say that it was some of the best pulled pork that I can remember. Great flavor and just enough smoke on it. Jalapeno/Cheese Sausage-This is something else that I've about given up on at most bbq places also. This sausage had good flavor but just a little to lean and coarse for me. Good flavor though. Pork Rib-Good solid pork rib. Not the best that I've ever had but definitely good and worth ordering. Beef Rib-Although these things are always pricey, it's possibly my favorite cut of bbq. This one however was too fatty for my taste. The lean parts were very good, but just too much fat on this rib. I don't know how much he paid, but we had plenty for both of us and my wife and I had plenty for dinner tonight.
