Saw on a couple of other forums that he isn't doing too well.

Hope he gets well soon.

Prayers up, James 5:15

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

I am sure Jim and Carol appreciate your well wishes and prayers. This is what Cappy's wife has shared on facebook.

From the 18th
Hi ... this is Carol Belmont, Jim's better half. Some of you may want to know that we had Jim admitted to Texoma Medical in Dennison, TX earlier today. He'll be undergoing a lot of diagnostic tests over the next few days but it appears that he is fighting respiratory or cardiac failure, maybe both. His pups miss him already. Any spare good thoughts will be appreciated,

And from Yesterday
First of all, thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers...

Latest update...... Jim is still in ICU, sedated and on a ventilator to fight the pneumonia that has set-in. His CO2 level which was 122 when admitted has dropped to a normal level in the 30's. His Pulmonary, Renal and Cardio doctors are still running their tests and so far so good. If all goes well today and tonight they hope to wean him off the vent maybe tomorrow.

Again, I can't thank you enough.......will update again.

June 20th update from Carol...

Today's update...

Jim is still under sedation and will probably stay on the vent for another 2-3 days, although, there has been a slight improvement. Renal and Cardio checked out fine, so all we need to concentrate on is the pneumonia. Remi and Rusty are just not themselves (a little agitated) and waiting by the door from time to time......I think they miss their Daddy!

Prayers on the way.

Jim is a darn good guy. I'll never forget when I bought a training collar from him he threw in an extra collar he had for free. Very generous man, especially to do something like that for someone that he just met over an internet forum. Prayers sent.

June 21...

Update....

Not much to report......Jim is still under sedation and the vent, however very comfortable. The antibiotics are taking a little longer to kick the infection but they hope to start the weaning process within the next day or two.

Grammie and the kids are fine and they ride with me to the hospital every other day or so. We do have to rush back home as Remi and Rusty have never been left alone for more than 5 hours (spoiled kids)!

...Will keep you posted.

I met Jim once. We saw him pull into his house and we stopped to visit. He's a gentleman and a true and dedicated sportsman. My sincere best wishes for him and his family [canine members included!

June 24th...

From Carol

Update......

Jim's team attempted to have him start breathing on his own this AM. They stopped the sedation and the vent for about an hour, but it was a little too much for him to handle. During this time, I was finally able to talk to him since he was admitted and he responded, even trying to use his finger to write on my palm! They'll try again tomorrow....let's hope he does better!
