Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

My absolute favorite plinker! My 5 year old uses the 22lr cylinder, and the 10yr old and I prefer the magnum cylinder. We have the stainless version with the 6" barrel. At some point, I'll pick up a blued 4 5/8" model

I have a 1964 model that my FIL gave me, I keep in the Ranger for checking traps and an occasional cottontail for dinner, love it. I can't count the number of racoons that I have shot with it. It is my go-to gun for plinking. Just buy ammo when you see it.

Its considered one of the best trappers pistol for a reason. Trappers are hard on their stuff and use it in some really rough conditions. If it can hold up to that kind of abuse then its a winner!

Great gun, I like the 5.5 or 4 5/8 " barrel myself.

I have had a Super Single Six over twenty years and I like it. Bought it at a gun show, used, in the original box. Still have the box, and the red felt bag for the spare cylander(sp?), but they are both looking beat up. The funny thing is when I shoot .22 LR it's dead on but when I put in the .22 Mags it shoots all over the place.
Have a buddy who has one that came to him from a great uncle. His has a scope on it for some crazy reason.

Got one and love it, but being able to change from 22 lr to 22 mag is really a novelty to me, its way cooler/neater than really useful.
It's hell eatin em live

I had one years ago, it was a lot of fun and of course very versatile with the 2 cylinders. I think I traded it on a Single-Six in .45 Colt, also a fun one..

I have had one for almost 30 yrs now. It has both the 22 and 22 mag cylinders with a 9.5" barrel. Bought it used from a man who used to shoot silhouettes with it and it was manufactured in 1975. I have only used it when I am running traps and snares.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Avoid the single 10 unless they fixed it. It didn't index on the rounds and you had to play with each chamber to line it up. A pain and I sold mine after calling Ruger and being told that was the way it was.
