Jay won the hunt with us last year. He informed me that he is interested in meat than a trophy. We are doing just that. He took a red deer hind yesterday evening @ 100 yds. We are out again this morning. Mosquitos are tearing us up. Hunting for another doe.

The Exotic hunt at Double Arrow Bow Hunting
I figured I would go for a meat hunt and when we arrived, I was overtaken by all the exotics on in the front pasture. We met the owner "Curtis" and we decided on where and what I would hunt for. I decided to hunt the Red hind because he is removing all the Red deer from his ranch. So we had time to get to our hotel and went back for the evening hunt. The first thing to come out were Red Stags and Red hinds. I finally got my shot and took this Red hind.

Saturday came and gone and the Red deer would not come back out, everything else did, but I was either wanting a Axis doe, Red hind or a barasingha, except the barasingha had paper work, from what I can remember. It the Barasingha is a amazing looking animal.

So Curtis said that Sunday would be though hunting and we decided to wait until fall for some meat.

I was very pleased & excited to have won and I really appreciate the THF photo contest, the sponsors that donated the prizes, the voters who help me win and TheHag, MrsHag for giving me years of hunting and lifelong friendship.
