It was gettin ugly there for a second, but he did not get away. At 0:24 you can see a bullt hit one of the fence posts. This 200lb+ hog had 4 bullets in him when he finally went down.

Nice! On a running pig right at 180 yards, I held 1 1/2 body length lead, and hit him in the rear hams. It anchored him with that shot, but had to finish him off.

So how many times was the beast hit? 4? Wow! It looks like the first shot was a solidly placed shot, maybe a touch rearward, but a good shot. Then the last shot finished him off. This screen capture from the video shows muzzle heat bloom at the time of firing, but you can still see the upper outline of the hog well enough to see the crosshair placement.

On a different note, this video shows something really neat. People like to talk about how hogs have such poor vision. IIRC when this video was done, there wasn't much in the way of moon. Yet you see this large hog, running scared, possibly wounded by the first shot, yet only slows slightly to negotiate scooting under a fence. He didn't crash into it. He dipped his head to get under it just when he needed to do so. That isn't something he could have done via hearing or sense of smell. That was done visually. Hogs really do see pretty well and certainly see better than humans do in the dark.

Yes, absolutely. I agree 100%. I would agree 110%, but someone told that you can only have 100. confused2
