My wife's family has some property near Checotah Ok, on Lake Eufala, Does anyone know how the deer hunting is in the area?

Very good deer hunting in the area and there are a few elk that roam the area too. Scratch that, it is an excellent whitetail area.

Very good deer hunting in the area and there are a few elk that roam the area too. Scratch that, it is an excellent whitetail area. My Sons Mother is from Checotah. Years ago there were quite a few close to the lake. Now they've moved onto the family farm as brush has invaded. My Sons Uncle shoots a good buck every year.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it.
