Working on putting together a new 300 blackout upper and also getting all the items I need to load up some rounds for hunting hogs etc. I have some picked up some Nosler 125gr balistic tips. Anybody had good luck with these? I also read that the barnes 110 gr tac tx were good for for the 300 blackout. Anybody have experience with these bullets? I could not find any in stock in my area and the places I checked online were out of stock. Would really like to try these out may call Barnes directly and see if I can purchase from them.

Thanks,
Jody McCarty

I bought some Barnes TTSX 110gr black tips when they were available.
When they got scarce I started to read up on some alternatives and the Nosler Varmageddon 110gr was discovered. Pretty accurate but I haven't killed a hog with it so I can recover bullet. Half the price of the black tips made me give it a test drive.

The Nosler 125 work well, be sure to crimp them. load them with H110 and let her fly!

I'd recommend any of the 125 grain hunting bullets. They are moving fast enough for good expansion and provide deep penetration.

In my experience, the king of pigs for the 300BO is 110gr TTSX over Lil'Gun for bigger pigs.
Amazingly, 110gr VMaxes work well on smaller pigs as they were designed for 308 speeds and don't seem to explode like a varmint bullet at 300BO speeds.
If you get a good head shot and hit it, anything will do.

Cheers,
