I gambled a bit and bought a couple el cheapo flashlights on Amazon, and let me tell you, for under $20... These are the brightest flashlights you'll ever see!!!

They're so cheap that I bought a few and gave away to family/friends.

Headlamp:
http://www.amazon.com/CREE-Zoomable-300Lm-Headlamp-Headlight/dp/B00FQEAFG4/ref=pd_sim_sg_3

Flashlight (bought the one with battery/charger):
http://www.amazon.com/FordEx-Group-300lm-Flashlight-Adjustable/dp/B006E0QAFY/ref=pd_bxgy_e_text_y

Try them once, and you'll see what I mean. I was looking at buying a Surefire, but I'll just keep replacing these if they burn out (have used them about 4 months now with no problems).

My mini Mag Pro for $29 puts out 229 lumens which is plenty out of a small light with 2AAs.

Streamlight Stylus pro. 2 triple A batteries and they last a long time. Thin design so it fits into my coveralls easy. They also make a shorter one that takes 1 triple A or 1 double A I can't remember. I've had these lights for years and have only had to swap batteries once.

Ultra Fire WF-501B. Light up the joint 100 yards out. Tiny, but powerful. Supposed to be 1,000 lumens. Doubt it, but close.

Streamlight microstream for Everyday carry. Single aaa and is just perfect. I don't go anywhere without it and use it so much it's apart of me now

I have tried many, but I have carried the Streamlight microstream since they came out. I use it a lot so I carry a spare tiny aaa in my pocket. Always looking to improve but have not found anything better for my use yet.

Surefire or GuardDog. The dog has its own rechargeable. Good for 3 hours on brite, 4 on low and also has SOS/Distress. Front of light is cut for self defense.

Hands down the Surefire E2D Defender.
I have Streamlight Stirons mounted to a couple of my rifles and like them as well.

Do headlamps count? I have become a big fan of headlamps. The best one I have used so far is a Cabelas brand $90 setup.

The microstream is great! Very bright for the size and the battery lasts quite a while.

Check out Fenix. I carry the PD35 and it is awesome. Five settings from 10-850 lumens plus strobe. Great warranty and well built.

Same here! I got a few of these and love them.

The ASP triad is sweet, I can charge with it's USB on my car phone charger. The ASP is the same company that makes the extendable batons, it's pretty tough, all metal, I have a bad habit of forgetting batteries or letting them die so this light in my lifesaver. http://www.gunholstersunlimited.com/asp-triad-usb-led-flashlight-black.html They had the best price on it I could find and the shipping is same day if I remember right.
