Sounds like a YMMV thing. Some people like it, some don't. I'm just getting tired of hunting public lands, and can't afford a lease at this time. I was also looking at 3 point hunting, and Bear Creek Hunting Club. Bear Creek hasn't updated their website since like 2011, so that sort of worries me. I live in Denton, so all of these places are a decent little haul. I was looking in Oklahoma too since I am pretty close, but they seem more expensive.

I would agree with you YMMV and it can't be any worse that public hunting ( on the week-end ) can it? Sure hope not.

I can't imagine. I am self employed and do all of my hunting during the week unless my kids want to go. At 650, seems like not a whole lot to try it for a year to see. I just want a place I can go and set some stuff up and not have to hoof it everywhere. I like stalking and hunting, but sometimes I just want to sit in a stand and enjoy the day.

They were loosely managed at best roughly 5 years ago when I was a part of their Bronson lease. They no longer have that piece of property FYI.

I heard they let a piece of land in Bronson go. Good hunting right there, but lord have mercy I'd let that headache go too from what I heard. Now rumors in town is that a lot of long term no good members be braggins abouts taking that property from them, when in truth Bucksdaddys cut em' loose which sounds more truthful since they would have to. I'd cut em loose to from what I'm hearing, so they didn't lose no property. Its more likes cutting a wart off. Now, Buckdaddys is the largest club of the three. The rumors are they have a lots of members at that price but they not all hunters since they have 4wheeler riding and non hunting memberships in the summer for recreations. I can't verifies though. It's all rumors.

Don't go offs no bad reviews. You gots to remember that some people not be telling the whole story. I joined a lease last year with a mixture of great reviews with a few bad. Best thing I ever dids. Love my lease and its nothins like public hunting. What's you gots to lose at that price. Try it out.

Bear creek Hunting Club is a great club. They may nots be updating with all the stupidity goings on. One man liable, but lets blame a whole club for his stupidity. Now that's one jury I's love to be on. I feel bad for the situation but its nots the club fault.

What is going on with Bear Creek, Primer? I talked with Buckdaddys and they are full this year, so I will have to wait anyway.

The Bronson thing was a bad deal. I stayed on that piece of property after they let it go for a few years. The people attempting to run it are a rough bunch of snakes but that's for another thread

I'd love some info on other less expensive clubs or leases. I live in Dallas, but don't really mind driving four or five hours for the right situation.

Bear Creek has good deer on it just from its location.... now the camp looks like it's lit up light a Christmas tree at night and the Pineland rumors is it's a party camp. I'd avoid anywhere that gives non-hunting members access to properties (aka recreation/fishing leases), that's a good way for your property to walk off at a later date since people have been allowed to ride around and see where it's at.

I was referring to Buckdaddys on that part, not Bear Creek. To my knowledge BC doesn't do that.

They have land that buts up to mine and there are different people on it every year. The people that have been on it are not good neighbors either. Buckdaddy never checks on them or manages them. They have ruined that land and shot it up. We hardly saw a deer last year because of all the shooting and cutting up that went on all day and night. I would steer clear!

That's not good at all. Howevers at 695.00 a year I can't says I'm all that surprised. That's lots of members you have to put on at that price and running a 4 wheeler park on the side as well. Are they a business recreational lease? I guess at that pricing you can't expect too much. I watch all these big leases for years before makings a final decision and I wish something positive would be said about Buck Daddys yous knows how it goes. Happy people never gives no reviews. people. Let's hope they all having too much fun at camp to post.
