Hey guys/gals, was seeing if you all could help me determine the value of a rifle. It is a Browning A-Bolt II Target .308 with 28" Heavy Barrel.

That's pretty high I'd say more like $650. Check gun broker. That's where you'll get the best idea of what they're selling for.

With a 28" barrel?

Looking around online, they are selling for 1k-1100.

I would think that rifle with the 28" heavy barrel should bring 850+... the std A-bolts may be less but not that target version.

Thanks guys. I tried searching online and didn't really find out too much about this rifle. I googled "browning 035189218" and about all it came up with was retail places that were selling them for about $1200-$1300 but didn't see one in stock. I didn't know if that was a realistic price or not.

An old rule of thumb, for guns still available new, is that you can get up to 80% of the new price. Using the $1200 figure 80% gets you $960. It's not a perfect formula but most times it will get you in the ball park.
