So i took the reloading class a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought I would do a quick write up for people.
I did the two day class. You spend the first day at the instructors house reloading ammo and the second day shooting it.
We covered everything related to reloading the first day. I took pages of notes. I brought my own press and dies, so was able to load it on my equipment. I also tried some of his equipment to get a feel for it. I quickly found out the Giruad are awesome so ordered one. We started with components, set ups, than actual loading. It was very comprehensive.
The second day we did shooting at a range in Waxahachie. First was load development on the short range. Then went out to the 1200 range. Longest I went at was 1000 but was doing alright at it.
I would say if you want to get some good instruction, than content NTPR. It was a little pricey, but it got me reloading fairly quickly with confidence. We found a 1/2 to 3/4 MOA group rather quickly. I learned more doing this than I did reading any manual.
Edit NTPR= north texas rifle precision ;(

First off, you will love the giruad there is nothing better and the wait is well worth it. I just started my wait on the annealer. Doug makes good stuff and stands behind it. I haven't personally been to a NTPR class but have read a lot of good things both about the reloading and shooting class. Cudos to you for taking the class and taking notes.

Josh (Jay) at NTRP knows his stuff. He is a good friend of mine, and we used to compete together in team sniper matches. He has also hosted some of the top tactical matches around. When I have a question about reloading/shooting, he's one of the first calls I make to pick his brain.
Also, it's actually NTRP for North Texas Rifle Precision.

I took a reloading ng class with Jay last September... After reloading for 12 years I thought I knew everything. What I found out was I was doing it wrong for the type of shooting I wanted to do. He taught me many things I use to make accurate bullets and he has become a person I call friend.. Just don't drink his home made beer. Let's just say things happened...

Yes, Jay really knows his stuff. At the bench and on the range.
