only 4 slots left to fill, you snose you loose!!
Nothing fancy just a successful Antelope hunt with the guide using up their vehicle on the ruff and rugged private land working from antelope herd to antelope herd to get the biggest buck in the country. The number of acres isn’t near as important as the density of antelope on the property, Lodging at local town accommodations...
To add to this hunt, this is one of the few areas that there are left over antelope buck licenses after the draw. This is unique because in Wyoming you have enough non-resident hunters coming in that it increases the total hunters greatly.
Here is the antelope information we spoke about with the outfitter and he a whole Wyoming ranch to search out the biggest antelope on the property.
PRONGHORN ANTELOPE
In a state where there are more antelope than people you know the odds are in your favor of filling your license with a good antelope. You will be guided, 2 on 1 as a standard but with bigger groups it can be as much as 4 on 1.
(Archery, muzzleloader or rifle with season from August to mid-December as noted on the license.)
Many ask, “What is the best way to hunt in Wyoming for antelope?” I reply,” Successfully.”
The key is to have private property where the hunting is regulated by a landowner. The buck is able to reach the 4 year old mark and have good horns and make a terrific mount.
This takes advantage of the knowledge of which water supply the big buck you spotted is using. Find the buck you want and watch from a distance and you should be able to pattern them during the hot September weather. All water hole hunting bets are off if it rains because antelope are always open to drinking out of water puddles. Muzzleloader can be a ground blind or a spot and stalk. Take knee and elbow pads because with a muzzleloader or even a modern day rifle you will need to be able to belly crawl to stay low enough to the ground to not be captured by their 8 power eyesight.
Antelope are sight creatures although they can pick up human scent from a downwind location at 100 yards. With eyes like 8x binoculars, and legs that propel them up to 65 miles per hour you can bet it is in your best interest that you see them before they see you. Ranges can be long a 15x15 inch chest is a mighty small target at 300 yards. Use this as your judge when you are practicing for the hunting trip.
There are some tricks to do when you locate the antelope. In most cases after you locate them then it is spot and stalks or ambush them during their travels.
Camouflage can be worn but you must meet Wyoming Game and Fish’s requirement of 1 blaze orange garment usually a hat and vest on the outside of your clothing while hunting but it can be a camouflage pattern in blaze orange, which is easier to purchase in Wyoming because most states don’t allow that patterned camouflage. Each hunter is required to know the Wyoming Game and Fish legal hunting requirements to hunt on these lands with or without our guides. Because of the private lands we lease require one of our people to be on the property with the hunter, archery our guide will watch at a distance.
The usually Antelope hunting dates for Rifle ate September 24 until the end of October. Prior to that is the archery and Muzzleloader hunts.
ANTELOPE HUNT PRICING ALL GUIDED HUNTS
2 Day rifle hunting $ 1595 reduced down to only $ 1095 with additional days at $ 250 per day
Archery or Muzzleloader Season
2 Day muzzleloader or archery hunting $ 995 with additional days at $ 250 per day
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DEER AND ANTELOPE DOE HUNTS
We do not provide mule deer doe hunts but for whitetail and antelope we do. These licenses can be drawn easily on the first draw as a second choice to allow you to get a point and hunt also. The hunts are usually a 1 day affair but can expand into 2 days if the weather or the animals don’t cooperate.
Guided or non-Guided are the same price. Because of the private lands we lease require one of our people to be on the property with the hunter, archery our guide will watch at a distance.
PRICING FOR DEER AND ANTELOPE DOE HUNTS
1 Day any weapon hunting $ 295 with additional days at $ 100 per day
