I bought a 20 gauge browning silver hunter in October, didn't shoot any dove with it but wore out the ducks.
Love that gun, much smoother than my 1100
IMO 20 gauge is the way to go for dove I got a Browning Gold in 20 gauge and it is my go to gun for every thing but pheasants

Since they only make the gold in 10 gauge now, what's the difference in the gold and the silver?

I suffer from and embarrassment of riches. When it's time to hunt I have to decide if I want to use:
My Browning Citori lightning 20 ga My Dad's A-5 12 ga My Dad's Citori Diana grade 12 ga My fiancee's Father's A-5 12 ga My Cousin's 1100 20 ga
So I think I'll save the money I'd spend on a new gun and spend it on shells.

I've discovered since having children that somehow my firearms budget has disappeared (as well as my going out with the guys budget, random trips to bass pro budget and anything that remotely makes me happy budget).

jaymz; With kids you don't have to buy new guns until you decide which ones you are going to pass down. The Southern tradition is that men give guns to nephews or grandsons. That is how a good gun history gets started.

I really feel for you guys with kiddos at home (snicker)My youngest is 28 and I just bought a 12 and 20 gage A 400 Explor Beretta. Even get a case of 1 oz 7 1/2 AA's with the 20. (Bwahahahaha) oh sorry. Keep your chins up. Grand kids are whole lot more fun. Spoil them and send them home

Bought a Beretta Pigeon I in .410 a couple of months ago. Been breaking a lot of clays with it so far. Real fun, no kick at all. 1/2 oz hand loads.
Sure, I'm gonna bust some doves with it. It's like a pop gun.

Does anyone else have shotgun fever already? I've got it bad. I think a 20 gauge Franchi Affinity might cure me right up. What do y'all plan to get this year? Picked up a Charles Daly Field Semi and a Atis all in 12ga !

I sat my Camo rifle down last deer season and still haven't found it.
