This was my Draht's first duck hunt. She picked up every bird except one. Here is what happened with that exception: We had a crip go down into some cover along the bank of our pond, so I gave her the "search" command. She marked the bird really well, worked into the wind, and when she got to it instead of picking up the bird, she pointed it! It was a great time!

Looking good. A good dog, pile of ducks, and a fishing pole. Can't get better than that.
My DD (Izzy)did the same thing during the last hunt test. After a minute or so, she caught it and brought it to me. It seemed like forever.
