What real numbers are you referring to?
Prices. When you say half the price, you need to say one is $820 and the other is $410. When one is $780 and the other is $640, the half the price thing makes it seem as if either you skipped math class or you have an axe to grind.
I don't shoot a Black ICE. I shoot a Triumph, and I think the bare bow was around 425. And i never knocked the bow, actually i liked the bow. But w/ all the commercials and endorsements and pros...ect i was kinda expecting more. Actually i was thinking i was gonna like it so much i would end up buying one.

I have shot both.....speed, speed....why is everyone so dang caught up in speed...... you can kill a deer with a recurve which is a heck of alot slower than the compound.........
Loved my Q2....but then bought a Black Ice and love it....
I don't get caught up in brand names and all that crap....
unless it is Adidas....woo hoo.....
Time is not wasted if you spend it with the ones you love.

That's my point entirely. Commercials are designed to get your attention.
When I bought my DXT I shot just about every good bow on the market, including several different Mathews bows. Actually, I had my heart set on a BowTech 101st Airborne.
Every single archer is different, even if it's only slightly. And, it may also have to do with what bow you cut your teeth on. For me it was a Jennings. But, after pulling all those other bows the DXT did for me exactly what you expected it to do for you. It was just perfect. Perfect for me.
No bow is going to be perfect for everyone, but that does not deminish the value and effectiveness of any of them. People just like different things.
Don't let anyone tell you differently, a Diamond Triumph is a quality bow. When an arrow comes from one and passes through a big old buck, he's not really caring whether it was a $425 bow that just killed him, or an $800 bow.

Watching the new video from Matt McPhearson on the Mathews Monster dual cam I heard him say that they just bought the McPhearson name back.
I get the feeling we may be about to see a split between Mathews and McPhearson. That could be very interesting. He's calling it the McPhearson Monster bow.

I shot both when I was looking for a new bow last year, I shot the matthews and the diamonds. I found the one I liked the best at the time. It happened to be a Diamond Liberty, and it is still the smoothest bow I have ever drawn back. I am not knocking Mathews or any other Manufacturer, pick which one you like and shoot it before you buy it. There is really not any junk bows that are made from these high end manufacturers it just comes down to preference and what you want to spend. Enjoy all of your bows guys if you are happy with your purchase that is all that matters.

Bowtech/Diamond for life! While you guys have been debating who has the best bow at the best price, I have put some more venison in the freezer. Merry Christams and may your arrow fly true no matter what you shoot.

I think all of you shoot Diamond and Matthews because of the high publicity from both. You know "Mathews catch us if you can" and Diamond "Oh, she bought me a Diamond!!" You can't stand the the hearsay of bowhunters saying that they shoot nothing but Mathews and Diamonds. It's what your partial too and loyal to because of a name. These 2 companies have made a sock it to ya publicity campaign, and it works. Diamond of course funded by Blowtech. In simple terms it comes down to braggin rights at the campfire. The woos and ahs kinda deal.

Mathews vs. Bowtech (Diamond) vs. Hoyt = Chevy/GMC vs. Ford vs. Dodge
It is a personal preference thing. For me, I'll stick with my Mathews and my GMC until somebody puts out a superior product. I've tried all of the others but I'm sticking with what works for me.

I believe in "if it fits you and you shoot it well and it fits your budget" by all means buy it. That being said, there are always going to be the matthews guys VS the BowTech guys VS the Hoyt guys VS the PSE guys etc. The way technology has improved the mfging of compounds bows over the last 5 to 7 years is unbelievable. Every brand has something to offer, smooth, speed, high end, budget, etc. BowTech, Hoyt, Matthews and PSE along with several other mfg all tout they have the best bows on the market. But really it's a pisssing match I don't care to get caught up in. I have shot all the big name brands lately and chose the Bowtech General, because it fit me. Price and shootability. It's what I liked, so I got it. As was posted earlier, we have to stick together against the anti's. Not bicker amongst ourselves, while they gather ammo to shut us down. That being said, I'm Bowtech 'til I die, or until I find something that suits me better.
Hunting is more to me than Antlers on the wall. It's more about the memories you make, and sharing those memories with friends, and family.
