here is a new profile off my bench, well its a mix of a couple popular designs of mine I melved together. A nice sized skinner/hunter.

8 1/2" total
3 1/2" blade from 3/16" Alabama Damascus
handle is nickel silver bolster, Mammoth tooth scales with copper and nickel silver Mosaic pins.

the file work on the handle.....is it filled in, or, are there gaps? Good looking knife...

Looks good, that's alot of stacking on the bolster. It's nice to see the glass hand back. Lol!!

I couldn't find any mammoth tooth to fit a handle that size so my options were a large plain bolster, which I do not like or a lot of stacking. I just didn't want to sacrifice handle size.

it is stacked with 3/16" blue g-10 and nickel silver spacers.

I use a little paint pigment from hoby loby water based not oil, a little goes a long way.

I've use that too. Lately I've been using the Alumalite dyes and like you say it only takes a drop or two.

Another good looking knife. I'm taking mine with on the hunt in Apr when 3 guys fro TX come to SA
